"Filter": The Five Best and Worst Entertainment News Websites

Note: These lists are not arranged in order from best to worst.

5 Best:

1. Variety

*A very well developed website, variety.com is designed as a very proper and legitimate entertainment website. It features popular and updated movie and television news posted on its home page. It shows information on top films at the box office, and and television reviews. At the top of the home page it contains a user friendly navigation bar.

2. TMZ

* TMZ.com is a very good entertainment news website for people who enjoy celebrity gossip. The site offers outrageous stories on celebrities daily lives, and is full of pictures and videos. Maybe very enjoyable for people who like looking through magazines at the cash register while waiting in line to pay for their groceries.

3. Entertainment Weekly

* Like variety, www.ew.com focus' its attention mainly on movies and television, but EW also features news on books, dvds, and music. The EW website is easy to navigate, and its pages are very pleasant to look at.

4. E

* The website www.eonline.com is a good legitimate source for entertainment news. But what sets itself apart from others is that they also have fashion articles. This website would be for people who want to be updated on celebrity fashion and upcoming trends.

5. Google News

* Google news isn't as stylish as variety.com or as daring as TMZ.com, but it is very efficient on informing people on all types of news, including entertainment news. Still designed with the signature google plain white background layout, google news is very easy to navigate and is very up to date. Google takes its news from all legitimate sources. It is very userfriendly and very reliable.

5 Worst:

1. Celeb Spin
* CelebSpin.com is mainly a celebrity news website and features articles on current celebrity situations. Unfortunately this website isn't uvery up to date and navigating the website is very difficult.

2.Celebrity Juicy
* Just like the E and Entertainment Weekly websites, Celebrity Juicy.com contains articles on gossip, fashion and entertainment news. But the website is not very up to date, although it does have potential to be a good website.

3. Perez Hilton
* Perez Hilton.com is a very interesting and entertaining website, but unfortunately is not a good source of legitimate entertainment news. It would be mainly for people who like his opinion on the news itself.

4. AOL
* AOL.com is not an entertainment news website, but it does disguise itself like one. AOL consistently features preview articles on celebrities, sports, and films on its home page. AOL.com is presented to be something its not.

5. The Digital Entertainment Network
* The website www.tden.com contains entertainment news, videos, and even a shopping section. But many of those links lead to other websites. Although it is up to date, it is a poorly designed website that looks more like a toddler's website.
